Earth Day celebration with The UN Global Compact

On the Earth Day, On April 23, employees of 13 Belarusian companies participating in the UN Global Compact contributed to the improvement of the territory of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The eco-event was held by the Global Compact Network in Belarus for the second year in a row. More than 120 employees of companies from different areas of business gathered together to draw attention to the environmental problems of the planet. Group of Companies "ProLiv" supported the action of the UN Global Compact and joined the event despite the rainy weather.

A certain section of the botanical garden was assigned to each company. Divided into groups, the participants transplanted plants, removed branches, installed birdhouses, opened and fed roses. The initiative employees of Group of Companies "ProLiv" carried out the instructions of their curator from the Central Botanical Garden with great diligence and determination and put the site assigned to them in order.

Children also came to the aid of nature. The special program was organized for them. Animators got acquainted with the young participants of the action and held contests, environmental specialists organized an eco-challenge. The children took an interesting tour of the greenhouse of the garden, where they got acquainted with unique plants and local residents – parrots.

Earth Day is a global action aimed at preserving the planet, designed to encourage people to be more attentive to the fragile and vulnerable environment on planet Earth.
